About WikiSlot

If you collect slot cars, you have probably felt overwhelmed at some point with the amount of models, brands and versions that have been released over the years.

Slot Cars have been produced for more than 80 years by, literally, hundreds of brands.

Some of them have disappeared, some have changed owners, some didn't pay too much attention on their catalog and just released cars without even a reference (or different car variations with the same reference)

Keeping a Slot Car collection organized it's not an easy task. We are going to try to make that a bit easier by creating this online database of slot cars released by brand.

By no means this is an easy task, but we think the effort is worth it. If you think you can help us with more info about some brand, pictures you might have or just to say hello please write us a line to [email protected].

How can you help?

If you have information (preferably in xls, csv or similar) about cars and it's not in our database or you think it can improve what we already have, please write us a line.

Also please consider taking a look to our books and product recommendations in Amazon, if you buy any of them you will help keeping the lights on.

And if you feel extra generous please consider supporting us in Patreon for just 2€/month

Scalextric Collectibles

Remember setting up your Scalextric set on the carpet? The excitement of trying to get the layout to fit the room, then seeing if it still worked when you plugged it in? You probably still have your set in the loft . . . This book will take you back in time, to the cars that you owned and loved, and probably smashed to pieces against the wall. It will show you how, without spending a lot of money, you can build a collection of the originals from whatever era—1960s, 1970s, 1980s, etc—and you can obtain them in almost perfect condition, even in their original boxes. The book tells you what to look out for when buying, and what is a reasonable price to pay. Of course, some cars are very rare—usually because they are in strange colors, often made by the factory in Calais. These are a lot more expensive, but you can enjoy seeing these, too.
